Product Overview

The Virgo Plus STUD 2500 is a Drawn Arc Stud Welder adopting digital and hard switch inverter technology. In this welding process the stud is first lifted away from the workpiece, creating an arc. The arc melts the end of the stud and the workpiece, after which the stud is plunged into the molten pool. A ceramic ferrule is normally used to contain the molten metal and shield the weld. The welding current and welding time are controlled by a single-chip microcomputer, ensuring accurate welding heat and a high qualified rate. With automatic/manual selection function suitable for special occasions such as multi-layer penetration welding, and an intuitive clear digital display of welding current and time. Mainly used for welding bolts of carbon steel, stainless steel and other materials. Widely used in steel structure construction, bridges, locomotives, shipbuilding, boilers, industrial furnaces and other fields.
